Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers Classic:

For over 50 years, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver has been working on behalf of families and children throughout the Lower Mainland. Big Brothers is committed to the healthy development of children by providing them with the friendship of adult role models. Their vision is simple, yet powerful: to put a mentor in the life of every child who needs one.
It costs $1,500 to support a child-mentor match for one year. However, it has been shown that every dollar donated generates $18 in hard dollar returns to society. Last year, The Bowl for Big Brothers campaign raised enough money to help 367 at-risk children in Great Vancouver.

As the largest fundraising event of its kind in North America, The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic brings family, friends and co-workers together to build team spirit, enjoy a fun-filled bowling event and raise pledges in support of Big Brothers friendships. Each year, multiple companies/teams bowl at Commodore Lanes & Billiards as part of The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic. With 35 years behind the cause, Bowl for Big Brothers is taking a new approach and is looking back at past campaigns, memories and achievements, bringing the best of them for this year’s event.
